A maneuver where the surfer cuts back after driving up the face and hitting the lip of the wave in a vertical position. Similar to off-the-lip, but a re-entry is more vertical to the lip and a quick change in direction (might even get a little air), whereas the off-the-lip is more horizontal and rebounding off the lip or edge of the wave.
